He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Margaret O’Malley Carroll and daughter, Kathleen Carroll Lunday. He is survived by daughter, Sue Carroll Molnar (husband Mark) and grandsons, Ryan and Jordan Molnar all in Richmond, Virginia; son, Charles William Carroll, Jr. (wife Leslie) and grandchildren Jack and Maddie Carroll all in Dallas, Texas; and granddaughter, Camille Carroll Lunday in San Antonio, Texas; as well as a very good friend, Nancy Cavanagh in Austin, Texas.
Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Charlie was an Army veteran and spent 50 years working at Westinghouse Electric Corp. He moved to Austin in 1980 where he lived for many years before moving to Richmond, Virginia to be near his daughter and her family. The family thanks the wonderful staff of Brookdale West End Richmond and Brookdale Spicewood Springs who loved Charlie and cared for him so well.
A remembrance service and committal will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
