

Charles Levonne Hardy, born May 22, 1954 in Detroit, he was the only child in this union of Willie Mack Hardy & Beatty Hallistine. As a youth, Charles’ mother passed on and his father brought him to Birmingham, Alabama to live with his aunt and her husband, William and Ann Hardy. Charles grew to be happy, confident and grew into a family that really loved him, including his “big brother”, an actual cousin, McArthur “Scatman” Hardy.
Charles grew into a man that loved the lord and loved life! Charles always said what was on his mind and was a fun, yet outspoken person.
Charles served in the United States Army in his youth and later went on to work as a welder in the plants of Texas City. After a while Charles finally found his calling. It was in car sales. He went from a salesman in Alvin to Finance Manager in Austin and Las Vegas.
Charles Hardy led a full life; surrounded family, friends and loved ones from many parts of the country.
He is proceeded in death by both parents Willie & Beatty.
Left to Honor him is his wife, Denise Hardy (stepdaughter), Alaina Ullman (daughter) Halstine Broughton (daughter) – Mobile, Alabama. Grandchildren: Vontaye Moffett, Jr., Damari Broughton, Zechariah Broughton. A host of family and friends.
A memorial service for Charles will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
