Charlotte Ryan Copeland

Charlotte Ryan Copeland, age 87, of Goldthwaite, Texas passed away in Round Rock, Texas on June 19, 2015. Charlotte was born in Stamford, Texas December 13, 1927 to Benjamin Walter Ryan and Mary Charlotte (Lottie) Everett.

She married Carl Eugene Copeland April 4, 1944. They had two children, Patricia and Janet.

Charlotte attended Odessa College and graduated from Sul Ross University in 1959 with a degree in Education. She later earned her Master's degree with Counseling Certification from Texas Tech University. She taught fifth grade in the Lubbock Public Schools and was an Elementary Counselor with the San Angelo Public Schools. She retired in 1987. Charlotte moved to Brownwood following her retirement and later to Goldthwaite.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Roberson of Goldthwaite and husband Robert, Janet Harvey of Pflugerville, and a brother, B.W. Ryan and wife Joan of Round Rock. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Alan Haddock and wife Kristi of Thousand Oaks, California, Glenn Haddock and wife Amy of Austin, Chris Akeroyd of Lubbock, Lori Laub of Omaha, Nebraska, and Will Harvey of Austin, as well as four great grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew and their families.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care and support provided by AMed Hospice of Austin and the Trinity Care Center of Round Rock.

As she requested, Charlotte will be cremated, and there will be no funeral service. The family appreciates your condolences but requests no flowers or donations.
