

Claudia Mae Davis Stowers, 89, of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024. She had an appointment that she could not cancel. Claudia was born June 30, 1935, to Albert Davis Sr and Pinkie Lucile Allen Davis. She was their first child.
She attended school in Travis and Bastrop County, Texas. She worked as housekeeper, and babysitter. She worked for Bennie and Mary Lou Downing for about 40 years.
She was married to Everett Stowers and to this union seven children were born. Claudia loved her family, church, joy riding to old sites (familiar areas) and new areas, she liked eating sweets especially coconut cakes, German chocolate cakes and pineapple cakes and her grand-daughter Casandra’s buttermilk pie.
She confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior at an early age and united with St. Paul Baptist Church - Kimbro, Texas, Union Lee Baptist Church – Manor, Texas and later Greater Love Baptist Church – Austin, Texas. She attended Little Zion Baptist Church – Manor, Texas with her son. She served as an usher for many years until her health failed. She also served as deaconess, Sunday school teacher and women mission and senior ministry.
She was preceded by her mother and father; her husband; brothers, infant brother, and Albert Davis Jr; little sister, Alleen Campbell, infant son, and niece Patricia Ann Davis.
Claudia is survived by her children; four sons, Everett (Linda) of San Antonio, Texas, George and Lorenzo of Austin, Texas, and Charles (Paulette) of Pflugerville, Texas; and two daughters, Pearl and Alberta of Pflugerville, Texas; grandchildren Casandra Thompson and Tiffany Thompson Fowler (Rashaad); great grandchildren Mika’el “Michael”, Tira and Tamira; sister-in-law, Margaret Fresch Davis,a host of bonus grand-children and great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
