

Connie was retired from the State of Texas, where she worked as a programmer. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her family and had a very nice life. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and had just received her sixty year membership pin. Connie was very active in sorority functions, and enjoyed going to conventions, events, and traveling with her sorority sisters whenever she could. She was also a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Claude B. Parrott of Austin; her daughter, Karen Parrott of Lebanon, Tennessee; and her beloved Sheltie, Penny. She is preceded in death by her brother, George Gingar and sisters, Mary Dilley and Virginia Karnes.
Memorial services celebrating Connie’s life will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made in Connie’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
