Consuelo M. Nunez

She was born in Austin, Texas on August 16, 1927. She was married to the love of her life, Bennie Botello Nunez on December 1, 1946. They were happily married for 53 years until the end of his life. She was employed at East Produce Company as a secretary and retired after 40 years of employment to care for her husband as his health began to fail. She was a member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church and had a passion for sewing and crafts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Remoldo Melendez and Evangelina Gutierrez and her beloved husband, Bennie B. Nunez. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ben B. Nunez, Jr. and his wife Isabel G. Nunez and Edward Melendez Nunez and his wife Karen S. Nunez; grandchildren, Linda Salas and husband Mark Salas, Cynthia Allen and husband Dan Allen, Edward Nunez, Jr. and wife Jennifer Nunez, and Isaac Nunez and wife Crystal; great-grandchildren, Christopher Salas, Ryan Salas, Ashley Salas, Lauren Salas, Wade Allen, Ethan Nunez, Amanda Nunez, Chloe Nunez, and Cross Hernandez.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

Following the graveside service, family and guests are invited to a gathering at Luby’s Cafeteria located in the Skyridge Plaza in Round Rock.
