

Our beloved Danny Ray Alvarez 77 was called to our Heavenly Father on June 3, 2025. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Rossett Gonzales, his son, Danny R Alvarez Jr., brother Bennie “Moe” Alvarez, mother, Carolyn Alvarez and father, Bennie Alvarez,Sr.
Danny leaves behind his fur baby “Precious” she was the light of his life. Precious was not just a pet but a member of his family.
Danny is survived by his brothers, Robert “Indio” (Jeannette)Alvarez, Peter (Virgie)Alvarez, John Michael “Bubba”(Julie)Alvarez & Joe Alvarez. His sisters, Janie (Andrew) Saldana, Martha (Curtis)Campbell, Marysue (Pete) Martinez, Carolyn (Joe) Brown, and Minerva Motiwala (Aslam) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Danny served his country in the US Marines and will be remembered as a true patriot. Danny cherished his time with his fur baby Precious. She would ride in his scooter sitting in her basket and enjoyed all their adventures especially sitting at the park with the view of Lady Bird Lake. Danny loved listening to his Tejano music while enjoying crossword puzzles and word searches. When his beloved Kansas City Chiefs Football Team were playing, he didn’t want anyone to disturb him. He also enjoyed crafting beautiful pieces of bracelets and loved sharing them with his sisters and friends. Danny’s passions extended beyond his hobbies, as he was a man who treasured the time spent surrounded by family and friends. He demonstrated through his actions how to cherish each day, to find humor in adversity, and to commit wholeheartedly to our loved ones.

Serving as pallbearers are Pete Martinez, Andrew Saldana, Drew Saldana, Joe Brown, Jonathan Alvarez, and Ryan Jones.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Suncrest Hospice, and Austin Hospice Christopher House for the extraordinary care and support during the most difficult time. The intensive care unit, and the palliative care team at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
The family is especially grateful for the unwavering care provided by our sister, Marysue “LaLa” and for the constant love and support for our brother. A heartfelt thank you to Gloria for adopting Precious. It brings us comfort to know she will provide her with lots of love and care.
