David Joseph Becerra

David Joseph Becerra passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 17th, 2016 at the age of 58. David was born May 11th, 1957 in El Paso, TX. Soon after graduating from The University of Texas at El Paso, he relocated to Austin, TX to attend the University of Texas. He then married Julie Kell and together they raised three wonderful children. David was a loyal Texas Longhorns fan. He attended countless football, basketball, volleyball and baseball games with his family over the next 20 years. Everything David did, he did for his family. David enjoyed his extra time with his family post-retirement. He was an avid gardener, planting trees, flowers, vegetables, fruits and more. He was especially attached to his loyal companion Lenny, the family beagle. David had an impact on many people that he came in contact with in life, but his impact extends most deeply to his wife and three kids.

David is survived by his wife Julie, children Ryan, Kelli and Zach, his brothers Louis, Raymond and Richard, and sister Elizabeth. The family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.

Visitation will take place Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home followed by the Rosary service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church Wednesday, March 23rd at 10:30am.
