
“Doll” Myrtle Ella Mae Alexander, born to Madelyn Terrell Hendricks and Caruthers Alexander on June 9th, 1947 in Austin, Texas. She transitioned from this life on August 20, 2024 at St. David’s Hospital. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age, worked and served at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor I.J. Rich, until she was no longer able.
Doll received her education through the Austin Independent School District graduating from L.C. Anderson High School class of 1965. She had a passion for learning, and therefore; pursued further studies at the collegiate level. She attended the Austin Community College in Austin, Texas were she received her associate degree in Social Services. Doll was known for her unwavering willingness to help others. She was a cornerstone in her community, touching the lives of many with her warm smile, joyful laughter, kindness, and generosity. Doll is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Caruthers “Gus” Alexander and Herman “Button” Alexander.
Her legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of her children, Larry Alexander, Franchetta Alexander, and Randa (Donnie) Lee; three grandchildren, Ebonie Alexander, Jordan (Denzel) Lofton and Ethan Lee; five great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Alexander, Sr.; sister, Frances VanHook and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be dearly missed.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Doll will then be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
