

Liz was born on August 10, 1929, in Taylor, Texas to the late Alma and Ben Rosenblad, Sr. She was one of 7 children. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred D. (Sandy) Sanford, her brothers, Ben Rosenblad, Jr., Kermit Rosenblad, Calvin Rosenblad and Jimmie Rosenblad. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Norman Powers of Austin, TX, her brother, Mr. Ken Rosenblad and wife Mary of Houston, TX.; her daughters, Connie Leonard of Manor, TX., Sally Webster of Round Rock, TX.; grandchildren, Tammy Stephenson and husband Scott of Wharton, TX., Lisa Clark and husband Bradley of Manor, TX., Danielle Webster of Round Rock, TX.; 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler & Kaitlyn Stephenson and Brandon & Logan Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.
Liz attended school in Thrall, Texas. She enjoyed going back each year to attend her high school reunion and catch up with her long-time friends. After high school, she moved to Austin, TX where she attended Business School and soon thereafter, became an employee of the Texas Workers Compensation Assigned Risk Pool. She retired in 1994 after completing 41 years with the Pool.
Liz loved people! She was always involved in her favorite clubs and organizations. She was a strong individual and devoted to her faith; a proud member of the Memorial United Methodist Church where she spent many years participating in various roles. She taught Sunday school, worked closely with the youth groups and was a volunteer whenever needed. Liz loved helping others! She was very involved with the local Ladies’ Shrine organization. She was a member of the Clowns unit within the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America where she later held the role of High Priestess. She also loved football especially her Texas Longhorns!
Her family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Trinity Care Center for all their care and support. And, to her friends that she enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and bingo with daily.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, with funeral services beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, TX. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Cemetery, Pflugerville, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
