Esther Cavazos

Esther G. Cavazos was born on December 2, 1922 to Jesus & Francisca Barrera Guajardo in Pflugerville, Texas. She passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Esther was married to Luis Cavazos & had one daughter. She was a loving & wonderful wife, mother, grandmother & sister.

Esther was preceded in death by her one & only grandson Christopher Mosqueda; parents; brothers Eloy, Eliseo, Ernesto, Efrain, Enrique, & Emilio Guajardo; sisters Elvira G. Mendoza, Elisa Saucedo & numerous family & friends that loved her dearly.

She is survived by her beloved husband Luis Cavazos; daughter Mary Emma & son-in-law Carlos Mosqueda of Austin; brother & sister-in-law Elias Jesus Guajardo (Nena); sister Estella G. Rodriguez; and sister-in-law Eva Guajardo.

Visitation will be held from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the same location.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Cavazos, Andy Esquivel, Maurice Estrada, Michael Guajardo, Joe Alfred Saucedo, & Frank G. Saucedo.

Serving as honorary pallbearer is Mary Ruth Estrada.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the emergency room staff, ICU, Dr. Chow, 4th floor west nursing staff at St. David’s Medical Center & Hospice Austin.
