Fidell Thomas Wiggins

On November 17th, 2016, God said you’d finished your journey here on earth. Fidell Thomas Wiggins was born on January 5, 1962 in Sikeston, MO to the late Louis Thomas Wiggins and Margaret Wiggins. At an early age he began cutting yards and helping the elderly around town. He would assume the nickname “Foot” from his siblings for always having his shoes on wrong.

After graduating from Sikeston High School in 1980 he moved to Austin, TX where he would go on to meet his future wife. In September 2000, he was united in holy matrimony to Yvonne Bryant-Wiggins with whom he’d share 35 glorious and memorable years. He was a faithful, dedicated husband, a generous irreplaceable role model of a father/grandfather and a forgiving, trustworthy and reliable friend.

Fidell worked as a Food Service Manager for many years. When he moved to Austin in the 80’s he worked at KFC followed by Skychef and Schlotzsky’s. He ended his time in food management at Honey Baked Ham after serving 16 years where he would become known as the “Ham Man.”

His hobbies included fishing with his grandson, bike riding, gardening, politics, listening to inspirational music and watching action and old western movies. Above all else, Fidell enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

Fidell had a large family both extended and immediate. He was preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Warren; father, Louis T. Wiggins; brother, Louis B. Wiggins; mother, Margaret A. Wiggins; and brother, Christopher A. Wiggins.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Yvonne Wiggins; daughters, Chrissie Bryant and Shalonda Pipkins-Wiggins; siblings, Ronny Warren, Sikeston, MO, Cassandra (Ronny) Gilbert, Dallas, TX, Phyllis (Daniel) Luna, Austin, TX, Shelia (Pastor Clinton) Bryant, Cordova, TN, Mark Wiggins, Dallas, TX, Michelle (Jerry) Summers, St. Louis, MO, Celini Wiggins, Killeen, TX, Mattie (Nathan) Allen, Round Rock, TX, Flora Fuller, Round Rock, TX; his 3 grandchildren, Ashanti Pipkins, Chelcee Pipkins and Kristofer Sneed. Fidell also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
