The absolute best.  The best pastor. The best counselor.  The best man.  The best example.  The best friend.  Our family has been blessed so much by God to have Pastor Hill, and the entire Hill family, so interwoven into every area of our lives.  Words cannot express the greatness of his godly influence on our lives.  Our lives are not imaginable without God putting Pastor Hill’s hand to our household. Truly a laborer worthy of his hire and his reward.
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.“ ROMANS 10:14-15

Pastor Forrest P.Hill
A servant of God who loved God with all of his mind, and all of his soul. A servant  who study to show himself approved unto God first.
A servant who understood God’s purpose, God’s plan and God’s Will.
A servant who taught the Apostles doctrine.
A servant who followed Christ.
Pastor Hill loved his wife like Christ loves the church.
Pastor Hill, Faithful unto God, Faithful unto Sis. Hill and his entire family and to the ministry.
Pastor Hill was an awesome, excellent teacher of the Gospel.
My heart was filled with joy when I first heard the Gospel taught John 17, Jesus prayed for the ones(disciples) God had given Him and verse 20, Jesus prayed for those who believe. My heart is still overjoyed since I heard the teaching The Gospel of Jesus Christ (book of John).
I am ever grateful to God for Pastor Forrest P. Hill Jr. as my 
Pastor.  I will miss you and as I have said in private, Thank you for allowing God to use you for His purpose, His Will and His Way.

There are no perfect words to describe and express the impact and impression Pastor Forrest P. Hill has had on our lives for the past 22 years. Not many believers can say they've been in the same ministry led under the same founding Pastor for 22 years, what an honor and a blessing it has been. When we think of him as the Pastor, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother and Friend he was, we think of a true and sincere servant of God. We are forever enriched from his uncompromising teaching of Gods word. He loved Gods people and he loved the members of COLW. He answered the call of God and established the foundation of this ministry upon prayer and we will continue the labor of our Pastor as we Arise & Build. All of our lives have been transformed eternally because of his call to ministry. Pastor Hill sacrificed and poured his life into ministry and we take comfort in knowing he has been refreshed. His life of integrity spoke for his relationship with Jesus Christ. We are thankful for the ensample of Christ we have in him. We are looking forward to seeing him again in Glory❤

As I remember My Pastor, I wanted to write something, as if I was directly writing to him.

Pastor Forrest P Hill Jr was My Pastor and I am My Pastor's son in the Lord. Thank you My Pastor, servant of the Most High, for you have left an eternal deposit in me that I will carry for the rest of my life. The ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ that was upon your life as you walked upon this Earth has drawn things out of my life that I didn't even known existed. It's True Ministry that has been birthed in me, your son in the Lord. And it will be True Ministry that I will deposit in those that follow me. The faithfulness that I saw in your life, in your commitment to the Lord Jesus, to His Ministry, to your wife, your children and grandchildren. I will be careful to walk in and teach the generations to come how to be faithful to God. I will never forget you My Pastor, especially your corrections. Those corrections will stay with me for the rest of my life. For I believe those are the things that declare me your son, because in spite of the corrections, I stayed, I have learned and I continue to walk towards maturity in Christ. Well done, thou good and faithful servant, you My Pastor have entered into the joy of the Lord. I have at times thought, that you have already met my Grandfather Santiago Diaz who has also entered into his eternal reward. Yes, you have told him that you know his grandson, that you were My Pastor and I your son in the Lord and also a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. My Pastor, that is what you have taught me, to be a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and a servant I will be. A servant in His ministry, to the congregation of Church of the Living Water, to your family and to the lost that we will minister to. Thank you My Pastor, until we meet again in glory, your son thanks you and will always thank the Lord for you.

As I sit and reflect, two words come to mind that sum up my 20 years of being fathered in the Lord....LIFE CHANGING! God did exceedingly and abundantly above all that I asked for or thought when he orchestrated my placement at COLW under the love, instruction, care, correction, admonishing, teaching, and overall fatherhood of Pastor Forrest P. Hill, Jr.  Not only did he teach me the true meaning, benefits, and responsibilities of my salvation, but he also helped me recognize and develop my call to ministry. I have grown as servant of Lord, as a member, as a mother, and as a woman over the past 20 years. I am so, so grateful for my Pastor's willingness and obedience to pour and invest in my life. I am so, so grateful that I had the opportunity and privilege to support and co-labor with him. Pastor Hill has had impacted my life tremendously......Simply LIFE CHANGING! 

In 2004, my family and I moved here from South Carolina. We were young parents with young children and we were lacking many things. We didn’t know much, but we knew we needed a church home where we could learn about our savior and raise our children in the Lord. After much searching in the Austin area, we were so glad that we found Church of the Living Water of Austin. Not only did we find out about Jesus, we found family, we found food for our souls, we found God's order, His establishment, and His plan for the local church. We learned who Christ is, what He’s done, who we are in Christ, and the hope we now have in Him. We learned submission, obedience, patience and what it means to sacrifice and have a heart to give. We learned how to behave in the House of God and how to stay committed and under delegated authority. We learned how to teach our children and raise them to fear and honor God. We’ve learned so much and are compelled to share the good news with others.
When we came to COLW, all of this had already been in place. We have gotten to get in on all the goodness. We thank God for the work He’s done through Pastor Forrest Hill. Pastor Hill’s submission and obedience to the Lord is causing many to give thanks to the Lord. God has opened the windows of heaven and poured him out a blessing that he didn’t have room enough to receive. We are glad to be in the overflow.
We miss our Pastor. He has made an imprint on our heart that we will never forget. Truly a man after God’s own heart...A man of integrity, wisdom and strength... A mighty man of Valor. A soldier in God’s army...An under shepherd to God’s flock...A servant in God’s house...An ensample to be followed.
There are not enough words to express our gratitude and appreciation for our Pastor. He’s a pastor of pastors and we thank God for His gift. Our lives have been changed and will never be the same.

Pastor Forrest Hill was not only a Pastor, but also a father.   His love for his family and congregation was unparalleled. This was evident through the unadulterated teaching of the Word of God and how he lived his every day life. He gave us his all and we will be forever grateful.  He stood head and shoulders above the rest and we were blessed to be in his presence.  The things he did for my family and me would take years to write. He obeyed God and saved our lives.  On behalf of Sonja, Noah and myself; we say "we love him, we miss him greatly and words can't Express how  grateful we are for the life of Pastor Forrest P Hill. 

   There has not been a man in this dispensation, who has been called to the ministry,  who has been a greater servant of God, than Forrest P. Hill Jr.  He was dedicated to the work that God called him to, which is a Teaching Priest (II Chronicles 15:3).  The call of God was his motivation and he took his call seriously.  He did not play when it came to ministry because he always said that people lives were at stake and he took great pleasure in serving people.  

    Because of his service to people, it was evident the Love of God was in his heart. God's heart is toward people and saving us from sin by sending His Son.  So who better to call as a Pastor than a man who is after the heart of God which He promised in His word (Jeremiah 3:15).  We appreciated the way he taught the Word of God. He did not just throw something together from a few scriptures but he labored in study and preparation and always presented sound teaching and not anything that the congregation couldn't understand. He knew that it was necessary for us to understand what we believe and no matter how much time it took, he wanted to make sure that we got an understanding (Proverbs.4:7).
  
      He TRULY reflected God's design for how a Pastor should be in ministry and responsibility for His flock.  He was a man of integrity and humility and never wanted to take the focus away from God.  While he never shunned the honor of being  Pastor, he recognized that all the glory goes to God and he never wanted to touch God's glory. He was an "instrument" pointing us to Christ, and not a "monument" exalting himself and making us dependent on him.  We've been at Church of the Living Water for 22 years now and God has used Pastor Hill in a mighty way to address all the issues we had in our lives.  When we first came to the church he embraced us like family and we always enjoyed the times whenever we had a chance to fellowship with him and his family.  We will always Love him and miss him. 
  

 My Dearest beloved Pastor Hill: One night over 47 years ago when I was age 16 while sitting at the foot of my twin bed I was so frustrated and confused about everything pertaining to the Word of God.  I was so tired of always going to church and instead of being taught the Word my ears only heard preachers/evangelist shouting (yelling) and organ music playing while they were preaching-yelling and I would always leave church empty and confused!  So that night I cried out to God and asked Him to please lead me to a church where I could truly know Him.  At age 33 God answered my sincere prayer.  He gave me a teaching priest whose heart was always to teach the Word with boldness and truth.  God gave me You!  He answered my Prayer abundantly and above all that I asked of Him that night.  For 30 years you were my Spiritual Father, a true Friend, a wonderful Brother, an excellent Teacher, an awesome Leader, and an outstanding flawless Man of God who taught the Word like Paul, possess wisdom like Solomon and always displayed the heart of Christ.  Thank you for obeying God by giving COLW our firm foundation. I am now grateful that you are one of the cloud of witnesses encouraging me to be a Finisher!  I sincerely do love you with all my heart!  :) 

My Pastor, the teacher that gave me knowledge that I could prepare myself for the world.  He cared for all young and old.  Showing his concern when he came to the back with the children.  Picking movies for us and teaching us in the youth group.  Pastor always cared for us weather it was our grades or just our lives. Even if it hurt us or made us cry "it would always help us in the long run" He would say.  He always knew the spots to hit food wise.  Show us where the best Ramen and BBQ were in Austin.  He always had the best recipes to give to surprise our guests and friends.  He cared so much about us and we miss him very much.  I love you Pastor and hope to see you again.

Every time I think of Pastor I think of the good memories I had with Pastor.  He would always pick the best movies for us in the back during movie night.  I know he is still living on in Heaven and in our hearts.

Words cannot express the impact that Pastor Hill had on my life.  He was an amazingly great man.  He taught me so many things, not only by what he said, but how he lived.  He was a sold-out servant of God that led by example.  Although, I miss him greatly, his legacy lives on in me and all the others whose lives he touched.  

Pastor inspired me to take photos. Attached is a photo he took with the camera I purchased for the COLW 25 anniversary to Disney World. When I see the Disney photos and any other photos I take I think of him and our discussions of photos and lighting and us talking about doing wedding photos. This is just one of the many things pastor has encouraged me to do and one of the many things we had in common. 

“And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there, no other, has ever known”. When I remember Pastor Hill I think about this hymn. Pastor taught me anyone and everyone can have a relationship with the Father as described in the above. I knew nothing about salvation, about being filled with the Holy Spirit, about God’s love for me, or so many other things Pastor taught me through the Word of God. When I came to C.O.L.W., so many areas of my life were dead or dying. I’d heard about God all my life but didn’t believe He was working in people’s lives today like He did in the bible. God brought me all the way from Europe to Church of the Living Water (C.O.L.W.) and over the years, Pastor Hill became a living example of God’s love for His people. Pastor’s lifestyle demonstrated how a father, brother, son, friend, teacher and mentor should reflect Christ as the moon reflects the sun. Pastor Hill could easily say to anyone of us as the Apostle Paul said “follow me as I follow Christ” and if we did follow our Pastor, our lives are forever changed. Pastor has taught me I’ve been given faith to stand through very dark trying times by looking unto Jesus and by binding my heart to the family at C.O.L.W. I have faith and hope not only for eternal life, but for life right now. 
How can we miss our Pastor when we hear his voice in the word preached; see him in the character/conduct of our sisters and brother at C.O.L.W. His fingerprint is seen in every part of C.O.L.W. especially in the lives of our children. What a privilege and an honor to have known such a great man of God; saying thank you to God for Pastor Hill isn’t enough for me. I have to endure to the end so I can stand in the presence of God with my Pastor and this congregation among the great sea of people who will forever worship the KING OF GLORY.  


Pastor Hill, first off, I WILL see you again and this is the hope (salvation - faith that we have in Jesus Christ) that my family and I hold on to. You taught me in the ways of God and you never wavered from your calling or your faith in God. The LEAST I can do, is to be faithful and obedient to God as you did. You are truly a Man of God and there are few to none that have upheld the faith in the eyes of God and man like you have. I am thankful to have the pleasure of knowing you and now we have to continue to in the vision that God has given you.

Pastor Hill, I am filled with a lifetime of memories, but the thing that reigns true throughout my entire life is Church of the Living Water.  For as long as I can remember you taught me how to love God and to chase after Him. From spending time in the children ministry, to the youth group and even in my young adult years, your message was the same, stay with God. I will be forever grateful that God called you and gave my family a Pastor after his own heart. Thank for accepting your call and laboring to lay a foundation that will stand the test of time.

To Pastor Hill and Family, 
Before reaching Church of the Living Water, I was in a place where I needed direction in life. I wanted to go to a true church teaching and preaching the True Word, the True Jesus Christ. I was looking for a true man, and true men to look up to; God-fearing men that were already in the trenches fighting the good fight. Even Though I may have never vocalized this, my soul was crying out. I began to hear the Word of God through Pastor Hill after being invited by my cousin brother R. Flowers to a Wednesday Night Service in the Summer of 2014.  On September 14, 2014 I became a member of Church of the Living Water.  The few years I knew Pastor Hill felt like a lifetime. This was because He exposed his heart and certainly did have compassion of the people he was called to watch over. I thank Father God that I got to meet such a man as my Pastor Hill. He was a true father to me.

I thank God that he gave me a Pastor after His own heart. In Jeremiah 3:15 God said, And I will give you pastors according to mine own heart, which should feed you with knowledge and understanding. It was August 1996 and I had just lost my Dad. I was attending another church for about a year. Searching and asking God for guidance, I felt empty. I had our prayer group pray for me, that God would lead me to a church where He wanted me to be, a church where I could hear His voice. In walks my sister, Andrea. It was like yesterday. She invited me to CLW on a Friday night. It was a WOC bible study. I left thinking to myself, "What does this teaching have to do with me?" I would realize much later that it had everything to do with me. I was a single mom. Sister Hill was teaching on parenting. Life went on and my sister kept sharing the messages with me through conversation. She shared with me how she talked to Sister Hill one day and told her how I sounded confused. Sister Hill kindly suggested she share some cassette tapes with me. So the first tape I listened to was from Pastor Hill. Amazing. It was like flood gates of water being poured over my soul. My thirst was quenched. I then proceeded to empty out all of my sister's dresser drawer filled with cassette tapes. I knew that CLW was the place God was sending me to. I miss you Pastor Hill. But I see how a seed has to die, in order for that which was in it to grow.  Thank you for instilling in me that which will carry on for generations to come. Sincerely, Maxine

The teachings from Pastor Hill taught me to humble myself under the mighty hand of God and to submit to delegated authority.  I have learned quite a lot about God and Jesus that I would not have learned if I had stayed in the Baptist Religion. I also learned that “If God has placed you in a local church fellowship, you have no right to leave because of offences or unless He places you somewhere else”. 

Over my eighteen years under Pastor Hill, if there was anything in the bible that I didn’t understand, he would have a teaching on it. For example, he had a teaching on Acts 1:23-26. But there was one teaching that he never got around to and it was a teaching on the Shew Bread and I do believe that he would have one day because I asked him one day and he said that he still remembered.


Pastor, 

My daughter and I have much to be grateful for because of your sacrifice and your position in our lives as our Pastor. In efforts to never disappoint, we often find ourselves missing the mark, but you have always shown us the love of Christ and a Pastor's heart.

I thought I had a photo to share, but it was a video and it was of you baptizing Zoe. This is a memory that will forever be kept in our hearts. The other memory is the email that you sent that resonates often in my thoughts during my times of reflection and ensuring that I stay in my position.

Zoe and I have learned that with the unexpected timeliness of your transition, that we must learn to cease every moment with our gift from God. We must never assume what anyone is thinking and never take time for granted. God has reminded us numerous time that our life is but a vapor.

We miss you dearly and the best thing that we could ever do to express double honor is to continue in what we have been taught, follow our teacher, and prepare in order to do the will of the Father in each dispensation of time.

As you have often said to us when you recollect about your father, that I can only come to you know. Until we meet again Pastor. I love you and thank you for your obedience to God! Zoe and I not only have a church home but a family that we can love, support, and depend.

I’m thankful and grateful for the life that Pastor Hill lived before us every day.  He challenged me to be a better father and better husband by how he treated his wife and children and through the scriptures God’s expectation for me as head of my family.  There were many days I would be driving and just hear Pastor’s Hill voice and where I needed to be with my walk with God.  He was patient with me and Gloria when we came to Church of The Living Water.  Pastor Hill made it a point to make sure we knew that we had to depend on God and depend on him alone because he would always be there.  When Bailey was diagnosed, he told Sister Walker in a one & one conversation we have to teach Bailey to love God and believe in Jesus Christ for herself.  Every day we remembered these things during the good times and bad times.  My prayers are for peace and God’s wisdom for Pastor Isaac Hill and the Hill family God bless.

One of the main things I loved about Pastor Hill was that he was straight up, no chaser. He always said and did what he had to even if he knew it wouldn't be a popular choice. I could see that he was truly led by the spirit of God and wouldn't budge until he'd heard His voice and I admired that about him. His wisdom kept me from making a lot of bad and possibly detrimental decisions. He truly was a gift from God and I'm grateful that I had a chance to sit and learn all that I did from him. He taught me and everyone else that came through Church of the Living Water so much that even though he's with God now, we will still hear his counsel. He left an imprint on my heart and mind that will lead and guide me for the rest of my life. Sometimes I'll be out and about and see someone that reminds me of him and I get sad for a second, but then my heart fills with joy as I remember that he's in heaven with his father, Moses, Abraham and all of the other amazing people that have gone on to be with the Lord. It is in this realization that I find peace and hope that one day I'll see him again. 



There are not enough words to express our love and appreciation for you, Pastor Forrest P.  Hill, Jr.  When we first came to Church of the Living Water in 2000 and listened and observed you, your teaching both on the platform and through the obedience of your life. you introduced us and our family to God.  Your calm and commanding demeanor always showed forth the love and care of a spiritual father.  

Listening, talking and observing you made us a stronger couple and stronger parents.  Your efforts also helped to make our children better believers.  The testimony of your life strengthened our love and trust in God.  Although we were not all able to say farewell on September 1, 2018, the impact that you have had on our lives since the first time we saw you answering God's call on your life will live on.  Pastor, we love you and miss you and we look forward to being with you again with God in eternity.

 God is truly Faithful. Pastor Hill pointed My family and I to Christ in everything we went though. He taught me not to lean on flesh..and to take accountability for my choices..but that God would be with me during everything if I was with Him..
During his toughest moments He didn't crumble because The Joy of The Lord was His strength, He didn't run to man to help him, He waited on The Lord and told of His Faithfulness. 
He showed me to learn to Be still and Trust God with &  without word He impacted my life.

He didn't just teach the Word, He lived it! The Fruit of The Spirit was evident in and through him. 
 A Powerful witness for Christ Jesus. His heart committed to Him in all things.
Loyal to God and His calling for His life that impacted Myself, My Family, Our Church Family, His Family and Many others.
He had a heart for the afflicted..He did afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted..and He made no apologies for it because He was confident in The Lord.
 I always felt when I talked to Him that I had just heard from The Spirit of God through this man..that is and still is conviction by Gods Spirit in my personal life and here at COLW in the messages by faithful men/woman of God..
 When Pastor Hill was weak God was Strong in Him even to his last days here.. He bowed down his life, and made no rep for himself...His actions , His life spoke for itself..My family and I miss Him but we rejoice in believing that He is with Our Lord Jesus Christ and with those who He missed that had gone on before him. Pastor Hill finished the race!!! ...and before he did, God prepared us and He made sure to leave us in a good place, Thankul...because God is truly Faithful & He uses Faithful men to accomplish His Will/Purpose, that I understand now..and I/we are tremendously blessed to have sat under this Faithful Man of God who desired for us to follow Christ also and Stand..He truly was a Gift from God Thank you,Father.

It is interesting to reflect on how God arranges to bring people together- not by happenstance.  I am thankful God answered my prayers after we moved to Austin - directing me to COLW under the leadership of Pastor Hill.  

Pastor Hill has changed my life,  instilling a foundation that I consider strong to stand firm in my faith. This road has not been easy but Pastor has taught sound doctrine that has allowed me to grow and mature in my faith, and helped me during difficult times like the loss of one parent and illness of another.  He also provided me words of encouragement personally which I'll never forget.

I encourage you Sis Hill, Bro. Isaiah and Bro. Isaac + family to continue to hold on to the wonderful memories & the great legacy Pastor Hill left. What an honor to have such a humble, powerful man of God as your family patriarch.  Thank you for sharing him with my family and the congregation.  Continual prayers. Love you.

The only name you ever called me was “Erin Faye.” I still have no idea where that came from. I’ve never met a man that commanded respect but was so gentle and kind all in one. I am honored to have grown up under your teachings. I am blessed to have known you. 

Gods Righteous Overseer...my Pastor.  He gave his life as a sacrifice of love by proclaiming the word of God.  He did not seek personal gain.  He encouraged us Titus 1:5-9 ; 2:9-13.  He was devoted to his ONLYwife Eph.5:22-26.  His marriage illustrated Christ’s love for the church, His bride.  He kept his children under submission....those are just a few qualities my Pastor Forrest Hill showed and shared with those around him.  That is why I can write such lovely words about him.  A true man of God, a pastors’ pastor!  A true undershephard constantly watching over the flock, Gods people!  He was also hilarious, he was the coolest of the cool!  He is and will be truly missed.  But there goes his teaching ....the word of God.  For I will not mourn as those without hope, for I will see him again.  Love you my Pastor.

Pastor Forrest Hill has had an immeasurable impact on my and my wife Melanie's life and it scares me to think that there was even the possibility of not meeting him. He was a true man of God, in word and in deed. I am grateful that God called Pastor Hill to the ministry of a "teaching Priest" and I'm thankful that Forrest Hill accepted that call. Pastor has altered eternal destinations of many and the only way to honor him is to live a life that is worthy of altering future eternal destinations. All who keep the faith in Jesus Christ and love Pastor shall rejoice when we see him again. Pastor Hill established the foundation, it is now the season to ARISE and BUILD! To Sis. ......they are the ones who will take on the mantle that is being handed down to them to the next generation.  As for me, I thank God that I had the opportunity to have known this great man, and to have learned from him. It was an honor and I count it a privilege to have served under him.  He was a dynamic teacher, an encourager and a disciplinarian of the Gospel. The Gospel – the Word of God was not something to play with, he would say, nor was it a temporal thing, but it is eternal, and it is a lifetime commitment.  He taught, admonished, and encouraged us in the Word of God continually, along with standing strong in that same Word himself; this encouraged me greatly, to continue in the Word of God, and to stand strong, and see the manifestation of God in and through my life. To have not known this great man, who taught me in the things of God, is unimaginable. I have grown, in the word of God tremendously since I have been under his tutelage. For those of you who have not met this great man, you have missed out on an opportunity to have your life impacted through the Word of God, which this compelling teacher taught.  And for those of you, who have met him, and have sat under him; and yet, chose not to have received from him, well, I feel sorry for you; because you have wasted precious time, that God has blessed you with, with his presence, and his vast knowledge and wisdom of the Word of God.   God give us a great gift, in this dispensation, for a span of time, and what a short time it was, for us to glean from, that we may walk upright and perfect before Him; this awesome, great, and precious gift from God, a teacher of the Gospel, was the late Pastor Forrest P. Hill, a true man of God. Thank you again, and a thousand time over Father, for the honor and the privilege of You placing this influential, powerful, and compelling teacher of Your Word in my life. I love and miss you dearly, my Pastor, and father in the Lord.

Please allow me to introduce to you, this great man, through my eyes. He was an awesome man of God, a loving husband who truly loved his wife (Minister Alva Hill) as Christ loved the church, a father of father’s, the one who taught his children every waking moment of his entire life the word of God, there was a listen, in everything.  An incomparable Undersheperd  of God, who fed the flock of God the Unparalleled Truth of the Gospel along with being a perfect ensample to all who was able to be touched by his life. A son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend, who lived his life without compromise, whose faith did not waiver, and whose integrity, remained solid. This great man was my Pastor, my father in the Lord, and a great example of how a believer is to live.  My Pastor exemplified the desire to please God, in and through his life. His knowledge and wisdom of the word of God was immeasurable.  He could dissect a passage of scripture, and teach out of that scripture for weeks at a time. His desire to have his audience grab a hold of the Word of God and his simple way of making the scriptures plain and understandable was outstanding; whether he was teaching from the pulpit or just conversing. He was always teaching, and that is what God called him to do, and that is who he was, a teacher of the gospel, teaching the uncompromising Truth, the Word of God.  So it was not surprising to know, that he was still teaching and encouraging others even to the very end of his life.  Pastor Hill lived the mandate that God placed on his life by faith in Him even through unpredictable and uncomfortable situations. His heart was always towards the flock of God.  He sacrificed his life, not only to live the Word of God; but that others may learn, and live the Word of God for themselves as well.  The picture that you see before you, is Pastor Hill baptizing my oldest son, Roshaun Valentine, he had a special place in his heart for the next generation because (to be continued)

To My Dear Hill Family,

There aren't enough words in the English language to properly express my sympathy for the loss of our Dear Pastor.  What an incredible gift the Father gave us in calling him to be a voice in the wilderness proclaiming His Gospel message to the lost, and to those of us who merely needed to learn more of The Father and His intended design for His people.

We will most definitely miss his presence here among us, but rejoice in knowing that he is enjoying and rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior! (Below is what I hold in my heart of My Pastor)

-	To stand fast, having done all to stand…trusting in the One who is able to provide, protect, comfort and keep me in perfect peace
-	How to look to Christ for ALL things…ever pointing us to Him, as THE Savior above all

Forrest,   and I were friends for a lifetime,  from the halls of Sims Elementary to the malls or Reagan High, the test floor of Motorola, to the pulpit from which we taught the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I watched him lead, teach, and mentor so many.  

May the Holy Spirit be your comforter.

To the family of Forrest Hill
Our condolences go out to the entire Hill family, friends, congregation and community concerning the passing of Forrest.  It was such a privilege to have coached Forrest in football at Reagan High School.  It comes as no surprise that Forrest would be successful in whatever endeavors he pursued in life. Those traits were present at his early stage in life-an outstanding student/athlete.  He devoted his life to the Ministry and brought the Gospel to so many and changed so many lives.  We shall forever be thankful for all the sermons Forrest delivered to his congregation, community and reached so many through the media. He is now reaping the rewards with the Lord in Heaven. Thanks Forrest. NOT WITHOUT HONOR.

I will miss my friend. I will miss coming to town to visit with him and talking about old times and sharing a laugh or two as we did.

Forrest was the first friend I made in high school when I came to Austin in 1972. Most of the time if you saw one,  you saw the other. They called us Starsky and  Hutch as nicknames at times, back then. He was one of my best friends and always has been.

When I moved back to California in the early 80s, I lost contact with him for a while but we re-establish our friendship and have kept up since.  Every now and then we'd talk on the phone. I always let him know I was thinking about him when possible, (sometimes family life limits what you can do).

I was there when he married his wife Alva. I saw how happy he was with her and  I got to meet his sons as young men. He was about his family and he would tell me the family stories to bring me up to speed. They were his joy. He loved them very much.

He kept me up to date about his mom, Mike, Beverly, Carol, and the rest of the family as well.

My prayers and wishes go out to his wife: Alva, his sons: Isaac and Isaiah, grandchildren, mother, sisters, brother and the rest of the family.

I will miss you alot and will see you in your heavenly robe on the other side.

Pastor Hill was preceded in death by his father, Forrest P Hill, Sr., and many, many other relatives. 

Pastor Hill leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful wife Alva Y. Hill, two sons: Isaiah and Isaac Hill (Natalie), two wonderful grandchildren: Layla Genesis and Forrest Isaiah Jr Hill, his mother Doris Hill, brother Michael Hill, two sisters: Beverly Bailey (Ricardo), Carol Hill, uncle: Robert Moore and a host of relatives, friends, and devoted Church of the Living Water members.
