

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisca "Pancha" Canales on September 1, 2025. Born on May 14, 1939, Francisca, preferred by her beloved ones, was a beacon of love, forgiveness, and generosity, bringing warmth and joy to all those she encountered in her life's journey.
Sparking joy through her rich personality, Francisca was a devoted catholic woman known for her inviting presence, generous spirit, and creative flair. Her love for crafts and gardening added color to her life and that of others. The vibrancy of the color green, her favorite, encapsulated her lively spirit and passion for life.
Francisca managed to weave a tapestry of love, teaching the values of love and forgiveness to her family, the lessons she held dearest. Her greatest accomplishment was raising a wonderful family, deeply rooted in love, mutual respect, and understanding. It is this legacy of love for God and family that Francisca leaves behind, a testament to her selfless and nurturing nature.
Indicative of her unique personality, Francisca had a special fondness for frogs. She was also known for her radiant smile, witty jokes, and compassion, the memory of which will be held close to the hearts of all who were fortunate to have known her.
Francisca is survived by a host of loving family members: Her husband of 65 years of marriage, Higinio Canales; Her sons, Joe and Mark Anthony Canales, and John Canales; Her daughter, Deanna Sepeda; Her daughters-in-law, Rachel Canales and Heather Canales, granddaughter in-law Taylor Carr; Her son-in-law, Eric Sepeda, and Her grandsons in-law; Joe Blevens; Manuel Jimenez Her grandchildren, Yvette Canales, Fabian Canales, Alana Sepeda, Franki Alvarez, Makena Canales, Vivianna Canales, Mark Anthony Jr Canales, Jordan Sepeda and great-grand daughter Amarie Blevens; niece Yvonne Ysla and Her sister, Alvina Ysla.
She steps into eternity leaving behind a remarkable legacy and joins her predeceased father, Refugio Ysla Sr.; mother, Juana Amaro Ysla; and brother, Refugio Ysla Jr.
Francisca's life was characterized by love, generosity, creativity, and resilience. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her.
A visitation for Francisca will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 5-8 PM at Cook Walden Capital Parks. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 8th at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
