Frank was a proud graduate of Indiana University, and one of his greatest joys was witnessing Indiana’s football national championship victory — a moment he celebrated with immense pride and excitement.
He dedicated much of his professional life to retail management, where he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to connect with people. After retiring from Walmart, Frank chose to stay active doing what he enjoyed, working in The Home Depot Garden Center, where he appreciated being outdoors and continued building meaningful friendships.
Frank was married to the love of his life, Lydia Camacho Heald, for 43 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion, raising two daughters, Maria Elvira Fulton (Shay) and Amalia (Amy) Higgason (Craig), who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren — Adrian, Andrew, Lydia Jean, Courtney, Annalisa, and Charlie — and a beloved great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense happiness.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed woodworking, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and love for his family. Many of his handcrafted pieces remain in the homes of those he loved — lasting reminders of his talent, generosity, and the care he poured into everything he made. These treasures will be cherished for generations to come.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Walter Warden Heald; his mother, Ruth Lou Emma Heald; his sister, Stella Heald Turner; and his brother, David Walter Heald.
Above all, Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply and the memories they will forever hold close.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baylor Scott & White Hospital Round Rock and Hospice of Austin Christopher House for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Frank’s final days.
A rosary and memorial will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Pflugerville, with the rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will take place on May 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pflugerville.
Frank will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
