

He was a quiet man who enjoyed reading. It was no wonder when he was honored as the top of the Vocabulary Test done throughout whole Texas State for all 9th grades. He was very knowledgeable in many areas. And he did not show that because he was a humble man.
When he served in Vietnam and retired with the rank of SSGT and received following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Palm, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Silver Star, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal (6h Award), and Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge.
He served as a Medium / Utility Helicopter Repairer for 20 years and 7 months. The extension of service was given at the request and for the convenience of the Government.
He loved his wife, Chae Son Graves, of almost 30 years so much that he was willing to do anything she would ask.
He is survived by his wife, Chae Son Graves; uncle - Richard Overton; Nephews - Kevin Jackson, Lewis Govan, Gary Graves; Nieces – Deborah Buckles, Melva Moore; and other relatives.
Friends may pay their respects between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., Thursday, July 05, 2012 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with Reverend Il An officiating.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 3 p.m., Friday, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Williams, Eugene Frederick, and Sam McDowell.
