Gregorio L. Balderas

Gregorio Lopez Balderas, age 83, was called to his heavenly father on June 3, 2013. Gregorio was born December 23, 1929 in Asherton, Texas to Manuel and Consuelo Balderas. Gregorio has four siblings, Josefina Garcia, Maria Lopez, Jesus Balderas, and the late Santiaga Perez.

Gregorio is survived by his wife Sofia Balderas and their four children, Carlos and wife Henrietta Balderas, Veronica and husband Carlos Vega, Patricia and husband Talal Zineddine, and Adalia and husband Gene Young; his grandchildren Carlos Balderas, Yaribeth Vega, Carlos Vega, Monica Young, Greg Young, Victoria Young, Layla Zineddine, Mehdi Zineddine; and great grandchildren, Yveliz Olan, Gabriella Olan, Teya Olan, Jazmyne Olan, Juan-Carlos Balderas, and Marco Balderas.

Gregorio was a Korean War Veteran serving his country as Corporal of the United States Army in the 5th Calvary Regiment from 1950 to 1954.

Gregorio was devoted to the Catholic faith and his family, offering them his never-ending love.

Funeral services will be held at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The viewing will be on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. The rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Mass will be on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church, located at 620 Round Rock West Drive, Round Rock, Texas 78681. Following the Mass, Gregorio will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden Memorial Cemetery, located at 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
