

Helen Louise (Herrin) Dailey, 84, of Cedar Park Texas passed away on January 12, 2024 at St. David’s Medical Center of Round Rock. Helen was born on May 14, 1939 in Austin Texas to the late Ira Herrin and Olive Buratti Herrin.
Helen graduated from A.N. McCallum High School in 1957. Soon after she married her high school sweetheart Melvin Dillard Dailey and started a family in the Austin area. She started a career in the medical insurance field, working at Breckenridge Hospital. After leaving the hospital, she went on to have a great career working for Dr. Richmond Turpin and Dr. James Graham until she retired.
Survived by her husband Melvin Dailey of Cedar Park, Texas, daughter Karen and husband Bobby of Cedar Park, Texas, son Gary and husband Rick of Cedar Park, Texas, and Sister Marie Hanna of Bastrop, Texas. Helen is also survived by her grandson Jaden of Cedar Park, granddaughter Amanda of Houston, and two grand dogs Riley and Patch. Additionally, Helen is survived by a very special Uncle and Aunt, Paul and Betty Buratti of Spicewood, Texas, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Helen loved her family dearly, all her special friends, and loved her Texas Longhorns! Hook Em! She loved her softball playing years at Redeemer Lutheran Church and playing competitive team tennis with her Bastrop ladies for so many years. Some of the best years of her life she would say! Helen loved playing cards, dominos, and bingo. Helen loved spending time at the Bastrop Senior Center, where she enjoyed taking trips, having game days and social time with all her senior families. Casino trips with family and friends were always a special time and she loved it so much!
Helen was a very special person, loved by all that knew her. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could have. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten! We LOVE you!

The Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, with the interment to immediately follow in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
