Henry Hoyt Jackson

with the Lord at the age of 85.

He was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Mountain Park, OK to Henry and Esta Jackson.

His parents, his first wife, Nancy; one brother, Glenn,; three sisters; Viola

Mitchell, Opal Brooks and Lee Ruth Newman preceded him in death.

He is survived by Sharon, his wife of 40 years; also by his sister-in-law, Venita

(Kenneth) Shaw, numerous nieces and nephews; Linda Todd (Gene); Kathy

Robnett (Randy); Sam Mitchell, Wayne Brooks(Karen); Lonetta Roberts; Richard

Mitchell (Theresa); Debbie Walker (Wes); Craig Sullenger (Abby); Guy

Sullenger (Samantha); Wyatt Sullenger and many kind neighbors and friends.

He graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK and then

enlisted in the Air Force for 2 years before being honorably discharged.

He received his degree from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls and moved

to Austin in 1971 where he began his 35 years of teaching and counseling at

Lamar Middle School. He also stayed busy with his ‘second job’ taking care of

his house rentals.

He enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years and loved reading God’s

Word. He was a prayer warrior. His hobby through the years was oil painting

and always enjoyed playing cards with friends.

A visitation for Henry will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
