Born October 15, 1935, in Bastrop, Texas, Ida was the daughter of Lewis and Rebecca (Brown) Mitchell. Her parents preceded her in death, as did four of her siblings. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Becky and Felicia.
Ida was employed with Motorola for over 20 years. She attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Ms. Casey leaves to mourn four children, daughter, Della Hines, son, Alex Cummings, daughter, Mae Mitchell, and son, Lewis Moore. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, along with fourteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, other loving relatives and many dear friends.
Friends may pay their respects between 6 and 8 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
