

After graduating from high school, he spent three years active duty and four years reserve duty in the Army. He spent all his life working as a mechanic, with most of his time working for Palo Alto Volvo in California. He liked to have family gatherings either at his home or go to some other families home. He enjoyed playing poker with everyone and his super bowl parties, where he could cheer for the opposing team and get everybody crazy. He also liked camping and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Lillia Cardona and his brother, Manuel Cardona.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Margarita V. Cardona; son, Frank Cardona; son, Albert Cardona and wife Beverly; grandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Stephanie, Kyle and Troy; and his sisters, Gricelda Navarro and Olga Cardona.
A visitation for Ismael will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 7, 2022 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
