Saddened to see the obituary concerning Mr Welch's passing but happy for him to rejoin his lovely wife. 

 I was fortunate in my youth to spend time on occasion with his wonderful family and respected Mr Welch for everything he did to provide for them and take care of them.  I always enjoyed hearing his stories about growing up, work and of course his Longhorns and Coach Daryl Royal.  He was a remarkable husband, father, and paw paw to his loved ones and well, they just don't make men like that anymore.  God bless you Mr Welch and thank you for your service protecting our country and for being an example of goodness and kindness to everyone.

Can honestly say most if not ALL people, including me, went away after meeting Mr. Welch, feeling we all were a little better people for having met and known Mr. Welch. Had the privilege of spending some quality time at a LMK tournament in Brownsville, Tx. visiting, having good meal from Taco Bell and enjoying Mr and Mrs Welch there. I consider him to have been a friend as all did once interacting with him on many levels. He was and still is one of "The Goodest of Good Guys" ever. Will miss seeing Arnae's posts/pics of them enjoying anything Texas Longhorns. Sorry for your loss. Pretty sure he will continue to watch down on his awesome family members left behind. He WILL have a seat up there at the head table, he's more than earned it. Mr. Welch, thank you very much for your time in the service. You left us all a safer place to live and be thanks to guys like you. Best wishes to my bud, Arnae and family and I thought a great deal of him as from the time meeting him. I went away knowing I has just met a great man. Lv to your family, Q.

I'm sorry about your loss. Clara and I were first cousins and my husband Francis and I had many fun times  with them.I remember all the domino games , dances and get together.  I'm 97  and have lost many friends but have 9 grandkids  ,  14 great grandkids that keep me hopping . 

Thinking of you all and praying for your comfort at this time.  Your father and grandfather was a great man and his love shines in all of you.

Dear Jack,  There is a great emptiness left by a Father's passing,  but I am sure that the strength of the love that you and your family share with each other and for your Dad will help you through this loss.  May that love honor his memory and cherish the many times you had together.  We will miss him at the deer lease.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I loved speaking with your pawpaw when I saw him. He was always there for you all with a smile and a beer.  I am so lucky to have met him and see what a positive inspiration he was to his family.

May fond memories of this Precious Man bring you comfort during this time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and now can share. Mr. Welch had such a Sweet, Sweet Spirit. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of his Sweet Family.
