Jane Elizabeth Kinne was born in Austin, Texas on November 28, 1932. She passed peacefully and comfortably at Gracywoods Nursing Center on May 31, 2021. I believe Jane will be remembered for her serene smile and for her superb hospitality and cooking and how she enjoyed entertaining friends and extended family members in her homes which were in various places including Hawaii and most recently greater Houston.
Her husband Clay was an engineer who assisted with setting up communications for the US military in the Pacific theatre and during the Korean War. His career took them many places including Japan, Illinois, the East coast, Hawaii, and later the Houston area.
Jane was an eternal optimist, always cheerful, and had a calm smile. She and Clay enjoyed playing golf and chess. They played their organs and pianos and enjoyed their computers. After he passed in 2006, deep into her old age, Jane wrote a daily email to her many friends and extended relatives. They enjoyed cats, her last being a stray she named Roddy.
They enjoyed visiting the Lost Pines of the Bastrop, Texas area, and she enjoyed barbeque and catfish. Jane seemed always calm, and very seldom if ever became angry. She was unselfish and deeply spiritual. She loved God and just about everyone she met. She was kind to all and will be deeply missed.
