

After graduating from A.N. McCallum High School, Jason worked for the Texas Department of Transportation. At the time of his death, Jason was attending ITT Tech, anticipating graduation in September 2010 with a degree in Computer Electronic Eng. Technology.
Jason’s heart was as big as Texas with a personality to match. His good looks and bright smile always seemed to keep him out of trouble. Jason’s sense of humor and quick wit filled a room with brightness and laughter. He enjoyed Texas Hold Em and jet skiing at the lake. Jason cherished movies and always remembered famous lines or quotes. Nascar and softball were always fun filled events with family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand or ear for anyone.
Jason will forever be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Murdock; his parents, Dewey and Judy Murdock; his brother, DuWayne Murdock and wife, Shannon; his uncle, Bobby Gorham; aunt, Valerie Yanssens; aunt, Sharion Detwiler; uncle, Ed Murdock; mother and father-in-law, Dee Anne and Richard Pilon; brother-in-law, Richard Pilon, Jr.; his beloved pets and countless special loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. A Funeral Service celebrating Jason’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 1:00 PM in the Great Hall of Great Hills Baptist Church, 10500 Jollyville Rd., with Dr. Harold O’Chester, officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville.
