He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Nemec, on November 14, 2013.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Cox Page; granddaughter, Nicole Cox; son, Michael Nemec and wife Kathleen; grandson, Stephen Nemec, wife Ashley and great granddaughter, Tristen Elise; granddaughter, Sarah Latzel, husband Michael and great granddaughters Ella Grace and Claire Elizabeth; grandson, John Jayroe and great grandson, Justin; along with many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.

The family extends a special thank you to all the staff at Gracy Woods for the constant care and love that was given to Joe every day.
Friends may pay their respects at a visitation held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with interment to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
