John Link Barrow

John was born in Altus Oklahoma February 5, 1947. His parents were Rhoda DeShoung and Roy Barrow. He had two older sisters Janice and June and two older brothers Jack and Jarl.

John grew up playing football and other sports, he graduated from Altus High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. John married Mary Martha Rosales in 1966. He served for both the US Navy and the US Airforce for 25 years. He left the Airforce as a Master Sargent in 1990, after which he worked for the US Post Office until he retired. John was always known for his hard work and great sense of humor. John approached life with joyfulness, he loved to be with his family and loved to tell stories both truthful and fictional. He was a strong Christian and his faith has carried him to heaven.

John is survived by his wife Mary and their three children John Barrow, Jr., Michael Barrow and his wife Tammy and their sons Chris and Ryan, Kim Muller and her husband Mark and their two children Makena and Trey.

The memorial service is July 28, 2023 with a viewing at 10 am and a memorial with Military Honors service at 11 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Funeral Home located at 14501 N Interstate 35, Pflugerville Texas 78660.
