John served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. After discharge he had a long and successful career in the computer industry, working primarily in Texas and California. After retirement, he and his wife moved from California to Texas where he worked as a Real Estate Agent.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth Lunstroth.
John is survived by his wife, Sally Magruder: son, Matthew Magruder and wife Laura of Oregon; daughter, Jennifer Magruder of California; brother, Daniell Magruder and wife Suzann of Richmond, Texas; and grandson, Lucas Magruder of Oregon.
A Memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 3:30 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
