John Robert Pegoda

John Robert Pegoda of Pflugerville, Texas was born to Pete and Peggy Pegoda on December 19, 1957 in Chandler, Oklahoma. The family moved to Socorro, New Mexico when John was in elementary school. He grew up in Socorro and graduated from Socorro High School in 1976. He attended Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma where he graduated with a degree in business administration.

John married Rhonda Walls on January 21, 1984. They have two children, Sam and Mitch. The family has lived in Pflugerville since 1993.

He spent many years managing waste removal companies and was most recently a hazardous waste consultant for Stericycle.

John leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rhonda; children Sam and Mitch and sweet Katie; his mother and father, Pete and Peggy; sister Brenda and her husband, Carl; nieces and nephew Janae and Jaime Zamora an Blair Williams; his father and mother-in-law, Mitch and Naomi Walls; brother-in-law, Craig Walls and his wife, Valda; nieces and nephews Jayia Pauza, Jazzi, Oscar and Jonah Walls; his favorite cousin, Amy Johnson-Rubio; the family’s special friend, Kathy Miller, as well as all the people who love him and will miss him so much.

John was a huge fan of the University of Texas Longhorns and spent many afternoons on the deck in his backyard watching the Longhorns with his great friends, Josh and Gordon. In John’s memory, y’all holler “Hook ‘em!”
