Jon Wesley Kraus

He was born in Greenville, Michigan on October 20, 1952. Jon graduated from Greenville High School then went on to receive a BSE and Masters of Education from SW Texas State University.

Jon married Melinda Ann Johnson on August 5, 1993. She sadly passed away on December 25, 2021.

He had a career with the US Postal Service from 1985 up until his passing. He was a devoted member of High Pointe Baptist Church in Austin, Texas since 1991. Jon had a passion for mission work, making mission trips to Haiti from 2011- 2015 and Africa.

Jon was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Ann Johnson, and his brothers, Donald G. Kraus and Kenneth V. Kraus.

He is survived by his step-son, Aubrey D. Johnson; his daughters, Alexandra and Dominique; step-son, Kenneth J. Johnson and wife Kristi, and their children Alaina and Isaac; brothers, Paul V. Kraus of Longwood, Florida, Jerry P. Kraus of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister, Linda A. Davis and a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., November 26, 2022 at High Pointe Baptist Church, 12030 Dessau Road Austin, Texas 78758.
