Jonda Christine "Christy" Wright

Christine was born on May 3, 1973 in Portsmouth, Virginia and graduated from Hastings High School in the Houston area in 1991. She worked as a buyer at Cyprus Technologies, as a sales and marketing professional and events coordinator at Austin’s Park where she was driven by competition and the excitement of big sales.

Christine, mother of Brittney and Cali, was very active in the lives of her girls. She could be found at school functions or cheer practice with Cali, or making visits to Ft. Worth in a purple T-shirt for TCU football games with Brittney. Her passion in life was her girls. She was an energetic, fun-loving mother, always wearing a smile. A proud mom, Christine made sure everyone knew what was happening in the lives of her girls. She believed it took a village to raise a child and she was very thankful for the community that she loved so deeply and that loves her girls so much still.

Christine was involved at Rolling Hills Community Church regularly attending services and ladies’ bible studies.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Brittney Christine Palacios and Cali Dee Wright, as well as Michael Palacios, Matthew Wright, along with countless others that were blessed to know her. She was the daughter of Jonda Bartlett, and Chris and Judi Gates, and the sister of Jamie Gates. She was the sister of the late Jonathan Jackson.

Christine loved life, spending time with her girls, laughing with friends and made this world a little bit more colorful for everyone.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1pm at Rolling Hills Community Church, 6201 Lohman Ford Road, Lago Vista, Texas 78645.
