Born in Austin and raised in the area, Kevin was a beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, with a kind spirit and generous nature that were evident in the way he lived.
Kevin's faith in Jesus Christ and his love for his family were the driving forces in his life. He was a devoted father to his four children: Dakota Ussery, 18, of Cedar Park; Korbin Tucker, 13, of Cedar Park; Easton Tucker, 11, of Cedar Park; and Brookelynn Tucker, 10, of Cedar Park. Kevin took great joy in being a dad and cherished every moment spent with his kids.
During his childhood and adolescence, Kevin developed a strong love of baseball. This passion continued throughout his adult life, and he spent many nights on the softball field or traveling to various tournaments. He also loved to sing, especially country music, and enjoyed fishing.
Perhaps most remarkable about Kevin’s life was his charm and the way he loved everyone he came into contact with. He was eager to help anyone who needed it and never met a stranger.
In addition to his four children, Kevin is survived by his mother, Debbie Johnson of Round Rock; his stepmother, Lori Tucker of Round Rock; his stepfather, Terry Johnson of Hutto; his grandmother, Marilyn Rose Finley of Hutto; and his siblings: Derek Spencer of Round Rock; Justin Tucker (Tory) of Hutto; Haley Johnson of Hutto; Matthew Jones of Austin; and Kaylinn Shea Tucker of Hutto.
He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved like siblings. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James Tucker, his great-grandmother, Sarah Rose, his grandfather, Cecil Spencer, and his step-grandfather, Curtis Finley.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him and remembered for his fierce love of family, his infectious sense of humor, and his unwavering faith.
Friends and family are encouraged to honor Kevin’s memory during a visitation and service at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Pflugerville on Sunday, September 14 (visitation begins at noon, service at 2PM).
Graveside services will follow immediately at Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock.
