Leonard C. Lara of Austin Texas passed away on October 22, 2024, Surrounded by family at the age of 68. He was born on December 7, 1955, to Victoria Castillo, and Robert Vera Lara in Austin Texas where he grew up.
Leonard served his country honorably for four years and remained a true patriot. He worked at the postal service as a mail clerk for many years.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gloria Sandoval Lara; Daughter, Amanda S. Lara; Son, Patrick Ross Lara & daughter-in law Celeste Lara; Grandchildren, Maddox Gonzales, Angelina & Anthony Lara Brother, Louis Castillo Lara
Leonard is preceded in death by Brothers, Robert V Lara, Jr., & Andrew V Lara; Parents, Victoria Castillo Lara & Robert Vera Lara; Maternal grandparents, Damacio & Estanislada Castillo; Paternal grandparents, Josefina & Leandro Lara; & numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews
A visitation for Leonard will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
