She attended Travis County Public Schools then later attended Prairie View A&M College, where she earned her certification in Cosmetology.
Loma was employed for many years as a cosmetologist at House of Elegance, on Navasota Street in East Austin.
She was a faithful member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Norman Bacon, where for many years served on the usher board.
She departed this life on Thursday December 2, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Narvella McVade; father, James Ollie, and brother, James Ollie.
She is survived by her uncle, Connie (Cleora) McVade, Manor, Texas; goddaughter, Rhonda Marion of Austin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
