Lonnie Earl Richardson, born February 16, 1946 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania to Thelma Lucille Shaw and George Anthany Richardson, was reunited with Jesus on August 2, 2011.
After graduating Bethlehem Sr. High School in Fredericksburg, PA, Lonnie joined the Navy where he was trained and a proud member of an elite unit, the UDT, which today is known as the Navy SEALs. After seven years of military service, two tours of Vietnam, and rewarded two purple hearts, Lonnie was honorably discharged.
He received his electrical license and became a member of the union and worked in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and California. Afterwards, he went to the Middle East where he worked in Israel, South Africa, Kenya, and Saudi Arabia. Then he moved to Las Vegas and worked there for six years before moving to Texas and becoming a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #520.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife Deborah Richardson; sister Donna Morton with her husband Harry, and their son Robbie of Akron, Ohio; brother George Richardson and his wife Dinah of Colorado; step-daughter Stacey Luster with her husband Dalon and their children Brajion and Kiarie of Austin, TX; step-son Nathan Hoker with his partner Jade Cramer and their daughter Scarlett of Austin, TX. Preceding Lonnie in death are his parents Thelma and George Richardson.
Memorial services to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Life Church, 18201 Blake Manor Road, Manor, TX 78653.
