

Sila was born February 4, 1930, in San Diego, Texas to Anita Pina and Gregorio Munoz. She Married Eliseo Rodriguez on May 1st, 1964, and they were married for 57 years. She worked for St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio.
Sila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eliseo, three children, Chavela Soto, Beatrice Luna, and Rudolph Medellin, two granddaughters, Irma Soto and Eliza Luna, four siblings, Rudolph Munoz, Irma Gonzalez, Herlinda Pappan and Mary Valenzuela.
She is survived by her children, David (Cathy) Medellin, Andrew Medellin, Eliseo Rodriguez Jr. and Irene Washington. Her sister Lydia Gonzalez, her grandchildren Enrique Luna, Joe (Christy) Rangel, Anita (Robert) Marlow, Julia (Donald) Bynes, David (Peggy) Medellin, Laura (Cody) Meadors, Alexis (John) Evans, Andrew Medellin, Nichole Dunahoo, and Larry (Kman) Lewis. She has 37 great-grandchildren and 30 great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Sila loved tending to her rose bushes and other plants. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing and creating one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces. Sila used to be a cake decorator and would love to show off the over-the-top wedding and custom cakes that she would make. In her later years, you could find her embroidering something for one of her family members or completing her favorite number search puzzles.
She will be greatly missed by all those that were Blessed to know and love her.
