Luis Granado Casillas was born August 25, 1955, in Tulia, Texas to Jose and Maria Casillas and passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the age of 69. He was an amazing person, a man that always had a joke to tell and a great work ethic. He has been working since the age of 12. He enjoyed watching old cowboy shows and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He was a simple man and always had a smile on his face and he never complained about anything.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Vicky Rodriguez Casillas; daughters, Maria Luisa Hernandez; Vanessa Munoz; Cristo Jesus Rodriguez; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren along with other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Casillas.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00am at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with burial following at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Serving as pallbearers will be Jorge Torres, Javier Guerrero Torres, Alex Hernandez, John Pete Hernandez, Avran Austin Castro and Luis Efrain Munoz.
Luis will be laid to rest in Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660; Section: Patriot Garden, Grave: 3, Lot: 402.
