Funeral services celebrating the life of Mae E. Collins will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St. John Tabernacle, 7501 Blessing Avenue, Austin. Committal services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Austin, Texas
Her family will receive friends between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2017, at East Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, Austin, Texas.
Mrs. Collins passed away on August 19, 2017 in Austin, Texas, at the age of 73. Born in Austin on February 2, 1944, she was the second child of the late Sammie B. and Lula Mae (Bouldin) Kinchion. Her husband of sixteen years, Alvin Louis Collins, preceded her in death on November 6, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Kinchion.
Surviving her is her sister, Rubi J. Stokes of California and her brother, Sammie R. Kinchion of Oklahoma, along with their families. She was treasured by her nieces and nephews and will be missed by many other loving relatives and many dear friends.
