Margie Marie Mark

Margie Marie (Midge) Mark went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Born September 3, 1925 to Dan C. and Gladys Brumley, Margie grew up in Springfield, Missouri with her two sisters.

She met the love of her life, Richard, in Springfield. They were married on January 7, 1949 and were blessed with two children, Cheryl and Richard Jr. (Rock). The military lead them across the country where they made many friends. In 1969, the Mark family settled in Austin where Margie had many interests. She loved playing bridge and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her Bible Study group at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Margie was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, LeeAnne Crane and Patsy Pecoroni; her husband, Richard; and her daughter Cheryl. Margie is survived by her son Richard Jr. and wife Sandy Mark; granddaughters, Sarah and Emily Mark; son-in-law, Jim Watkins; grandsons, Jody (Jennifer) and Matt (Liz) Watkins; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jake, Jimmy, and Liam Watkins; sister-in-law, Marianna Thomson; and brother-in-law, Phillip Mark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to a charity of choice.

Committal services will take place at the Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri at 10:00 am on Monday, July 21, 2014.
