Mary Ann Barak

Mary Ann Fojtik Barak was born on December 13, 1921 in West, Texas to Emil J. Fojtik and Edith Brinkman Fojtik. Mary Ann was the fourth of nine children. She spent much of her childhood in the Caldwell area and on March 26, 1940 she married Charles V. Barak. They moved to Austin in 1949 and had four children. Mary Ann was devoted to her family and enjoyed having them around as often as possible. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2013. She is survived by her sister, Grace Rosenkrantz and by her four children and their spouses: Mary Ann and Pat Easley, Charles and Joanne Barak, Liz and Floyd Flint, Frank and Mary Ellen Barak as well as her honorary daughter Marilyn Barak. Mary Ann is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Debbie Ezell and Randy, Virginia and Mark Ferguson, Tammy Easley and Donny, Tricia and Danny Denson, Christopher Flint and Veronica, Michael Fitzgerald, Brenda and Vince Scott, Melissa and Chuck Loughlin, Maureen Barak, Monica Barak and Kyle, Lara Peek and Justin Barak. Mary Ann also had 21 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.

The family would like to thank Maureen Barak for her selfless, compassionate and devoted care to Mary Ann and Charles over the past 16 years.
