Mary Jane Engelbrecht died on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Austin, Texas at age 96. Jane was born in 1920 in St. Louis to Clara and Jules Fremon. In 1946, she transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. She married Bill Engelbrecht in 1948. Jane was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her daughter, Diane. She is survived by her sister, Julia Bierdeman; brother-in-law, Ted Bierdeman; and her sons, John and James.

Friends may pay their respects beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
