Mary Audelia was a strong, loving, independent woman. Her life revolved around her family, and she always made them feel loved and cared for. One of her true passions was cooking. Her kitchen was always open, and everyone was welcome to come by and share a meal. The family’s best tradition was having Sunday lunch with her. It brought us together and kept us connected. She was committed to cooking for us every week, which is a testament to her love for us.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years Pablo Ochoa; her son, Pablo Ochoa III; her great grandchild, Michael Edward Cortez; her parents, Liborio and Mercedes Urquidez; her sisters, Faustina Fierro, Benita Pando, and Emeteria Valero; and her brothers, Wally, Liborio, Arnulfo, and Margarito Urquidez.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Christine and Ruby Ochoa; her son, Edward Lee Ochoa; her grandchildren, Sandy Ochoa, Mark Ochoa, Amy Field, Brandon Tilford, and Nikki Smith; and her great grandchildren, Ray Ortiz, Lily and Jamie Field, Tyler and Izzy Tilford.
Our hearts are broken but our memories of her and our meals together will remain forever.
Those who wish to donate to a foundation may give a contribution in her memory to St. Jude’s Hospital, which was the charity closest to her heart.
