Matt was surrounded by his wife and loved ones as he went to be with the Lord. Matt was loved truly by his wife of 7 years Wende Juarez, whom along with his parents have cared for Matthew during his illness. Matthew and Wende were married October 6th 2008, on a beautiful beach in Playa Del Carmen.

Matt was Honorably discharged, and re-enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp fulfilling his dreams of being a Devil Dog for 6 strong years. He protected and served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Gulf War. He received training and certifications through the Marine Corp to secure a position in the air conditioning industry upon his Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant in The Marine Corp in 1994.
Matt's strongest quality was that of a family man, and he was extremely proud of his 8-children. He leaves as his legacy and greatest achievements: Robyn Perry, Chantel Sewell and husband Brian, Eric Huff, Michael Juarez, Jon Huff, Felicia Juarez, Rachel Juarez, and Savannah Thames, as well as one grandson Austin Perry. He will be missed by many, and loved forever.
"Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United State Marines"
Honorable Military Memorial Service will be held at Cook Walden Capital Parks on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 @ 10:00 AM with graveside service to follow. Reception for family and friends to celebrate the life of Matt will be at Northwest Fellowship Church in North Austin directly after the close of services.
