Melissa was born August 6,1970 in Pasadena, Texas to parents Wayne and Diane Northam. Melissa graduated from Reagan High School and received a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. She had been employed as a General Ledger Accountant for Ichor Systems, Inc., Emerson Automated Solutions, Apple, Inc., First Care Health Plans, CSC and ARA, all in Austin. She was a member of the Catholic church. Melissa had a passion for all things U.T., Elvis, and attending and being a part of her huge family get togethers.
She is survived by her mother, Diane Leonard Northam and her brother, Mark Northam. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Jerry and Joyce Leonard, Kathleen and Joe Naivar, Sr., David and Diane Leonard, Mickey and Cindy Leonard, and Connie Leonard and MIckey Northam, as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne E. Northam, grandparents, Jerry and Elizabeth “Sissie” Leonard, Helen Hunt, Pete Northam, and uncle, Tommy Leonard.
A visitation for Melissa will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at
St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin, Texas 78758, followed by a committal service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 501 Old Thorndale Road, Taylor, Texas 78674.
Serving as pallbearers: Joe Naivar, Jr., Todd Leonard, Justin Leonard, Bryan Pinner, Mark Weeks and Tim Pokorny. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Jerry Leonard, Jr., David Leonard, Mickey Leonard and Joe Naivar, Sr.
