Michael Dwain Nichols

Michael Dwain Nichols of Austin, Texas, passed from this life on April 17, 2010 at the age of 46. Michael was born to Vivian and Lee Nichols, October 1, 1963 in Austin, Texas, where he attended school, and graduated from Reagan High School.

As a young child, Michael joined St. James Episcopal Church, and served as an Acolyte during services.

Michael later married Simone D. Pollard on July 1, 1994, and they both attended Olivet Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Kennedy Young, Sr.

Michael was employed by the City of Austin Solid Waste Services for 20 years.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories his mother and father; one brother, Daryl Nichols; one nephew, Jordan Nichols, all of Austin, Texas. He also leaves three aunts, Essie Knotts of Livonia, Michigan, Willie Mae Walton of Portland, Oregon, and Lisa Miller of Austin, Texas; four uncles, Robert Dove of West Land, Michigan, Clarence Nichols of Portland, Oregon, Raymond Dove of Austin, Texas, and Ray Dove of Austin, Texas; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may pay their respects between 6 and 8 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with burial following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
