

Michael was born on August 17th, 1945 in Walsall, Staffordshire, England. He immigrated to the United States when he was 7 years old and became a naturalized U.S. citizen on December 8th, 1961.
He attended Rhode Island College and the University of Texas at Austin. While his real passion was in literature, he built his whole career in civil engineering. He retired professionally as an associate with Gray-Jansing engineering.
He was drafted in the Army for the Vietnam War and was stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas where he served his country as a supply specialist. He had many interests which included being a voracious reader, writing poetry, playing tennis, watching the Boston Red Sox and Texas Longhorns, completing crossword puzzles and spending time with his family and grandkids.
He is predeceased by his parents Thomas Edgar and Drusilla Read Williams and by his beloved daughter Maureen Lesley Williams
He is survived by his loving wife Velia Saenz Williams and their children, Timothy Michael Williams (wife Monica) and Serena Williams Bettis (husband Tony) and by his daughter, Teresa Flores (husband Rene). He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Whitlock and Mary Blake (husband David) and his brother, Peter Williams. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren (Nina, Renato, Lauren, Christian, Trooper, Sebastian, Jessica, Tannen, CaryEllis and Genevieve), whom he adored. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as his mother-in-law Maria Saenz and her extended family.
The visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3rd at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The funeral service will be held at the same location at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4th. He will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
