

Nomie graduated from Hopewell High School in Round Rock, Texas on May 25, 1957. On January 22, 1978, she accepted Christ and was an active member of New Covenant Church. A few of her passions were writing poems and songs; she even wrote the song for her graduating class. She worked in the hospitality industry and retired from Brackenridge Hospital in 1994.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lurenza Middleton; her sisters, Deloris Foster, Bulah Mae Choice, Christine Brunson, Betty Green, Evelyn Joseph, and Ann Morrison; brothers, Willie Middleton, Sylvester Middleton, Joseph Middleton, Daniel Middleton, and Charles Middleton; and daughters, Melody Southall, Sandra Williams, and Debra Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Williams; her sister, Gladys Demps; her grandchildren, Laquita Southall, Medina Alexander, Marcus Southall, Kayzia Sykes (Kasey), Bryia Johnson, Brian Johnson, Deidre Harper (Lonnie) and Denice Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Nomie on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 01, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Church found at 132 TX-21, Bastrop, TX 78602. A committal service will occur on Thursday, August 01, 2024, 2:00pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
