Born July 27, 1931, in Lewisville, Arkansas, Robert was the son of Kenneth Leatherwood and Vera (Hemphill) Leatherwood. His parents preceded him in death, as did his only sibling, his brother Donald. A gentleman of a million interests, Robert, took every opportunity to expand his knowledge. He loved sharing with his daughter, Stephanie, and one such conversation resulted in life changing legislation being enacted after Stephanie shared their conversation with other students. Robert was employed as a sales representative for building materials, and loved visiting with people.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Leatherwood of Jonestown, Texas. He is also survived by Stephanie's mother, Hazel Jean Leatherwood, who cared for Robert once his health began to decline.
