

Robert Samuel Novit of Georgetown, Texas passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on January 9, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, where he spent his early years. At the age of seven his family moved to Southern California where he lived his teenage years in the 1950s before moving to Sacramento in 1958. As a So Cal teenager in the 1950’s he fell in love with cars and was often seen at the high school drag races winning trophies. He met the love his life in Sacramento and married in 1961. He served in the United States Army from 1963 – 1965. He returned to Sacramento, worked alongside his father in the family furniture business, and started a family with the birth of his son in 1966. Bob and his wife would eventually move to Cedar Park, Texas to enjoy life as grandparents.
Bob’s career transitioned into real estate during the 1970s. His career in commercial real estate spanned decades in central California and eventually Texas. His development deals brought to life hundreds of restaurants and retail shops and the economic activity employed tens of thousands of people over the years.
Bob was actively involved in Ford Thunderbird car clubs where he served in various officer capacities, including President. He loved to boat, ski, drive and work on his cars, travel, and gather with family. He will forever be remembered for his strong sense of right and wrong, his quick sense of humor, and love for his family. He was a veteran and avid patriot.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Fannie Novit.
Bob is survived by his wife Pat, son Gary, and grandchildren Kristen and Ashley. He was loved as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
