

Visitation and a celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, November 27th at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Burial will directly follow service.
Robert was born on April 20, 1926 in Cortland, New York to Franklin and Olivia (Stanfield) Reeves. While studying at Wheaton University, he met his beloved wife, Jane Lucia Fulton. They were married on August 11, 1946 in Ithaca, NY. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to St. Louis, MO where he obtained a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in 1961. He was a Baptist pastor throughout his life, and was fluent in multiple languages including Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. Robert taught social work part-time at both Washington University and Saint Louis University while working as a Director at Missouri Baptist Children’s home. In 1970, he moved to Austin, Texas where he was a professor at the University of Texas then later an administrator at the Texas Department of Human services. He retired in 1986, and went on to publish his commentary on the book of Revelation, "Blessed Assurance; The Lord Reigns" entitled by his wife Jane. Robert touched the lives of many by teaching the Word of God and allowing Christ to live through him.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Carolyn and her husband Tess Grosse of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Paul Dion (Emily) Grosse and great grandson Noah, Christine (Robert) Pedroli and great grandchildren Gabriella and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Olivia, and his wife Jane Fulton Reeves in 2002.
