Robert Donald Scott, Jr., age 76, of Round Rock, passed from this temporary life to begin eternity on August 26, 2021. He was born on January 18, 1945 in Midland, Texas to Robert Donald Scott and Lucille (Kersh) Scott.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Judith Ann Redman; and his son, Gary Scott.
In his early years, Robert served in the Marine Corps Reserve and after a 36-year career with Chevron, he retired and began the next phase of a busy life. Being a man of many interests and talents, he enjoyed family get-togethers, was always ready to help a friend, or go fishing at a moment’s notice. He was an active and dedicated member of the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ, and served in community disaster relief efforts.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 28 years, Kay Scott; daughters: Deborah Griffin (husband Brandon Griffin) and Anna Beth Kahre; son: Clayton Myles Firby (wife Carrenda Firby); sister: Carolyn Galvan (husband Cruz Galvan); brother-in-law: John McIntosh (wife Beverly McIntosh); eight grandchildren: Stephen Scott, Breana Anderson, Blair Anderson, Lauren Oelsen (husband Grant Oelsen), Mary Beth Kahre, Brandon Firby, Megan Bruney (husband Clint Bruney), and Macy Firby; and two (absolutely amazing) great-grandchildren: Savannah Oelsen and Braxton Bruney.
